Windy with moderate and increasing South wind. Skies were a dark overcast and the temperature was around 30F around midday.
Snowpack
All aspects except due North held a thin melt-freeze crust through the morning. I dug at a shallow North facing slope above Cliffs #4 and there is still really no slab to speak of with a weak and faceted snowpack. ECTN12 under the uppermost crust down 12cms. Wind and overcast skies limited any surface warming or wet loose concerns. Hard to determine extent of wetting on this slope. The snowpack is faceted to the point where any water could percolate through the facets easily and not sponge up or pool at any given layer. The facets seemed fairly rounded despite the shallow location.
