Weather
Temperature was 39F this morning around 1030 and rose to the mid 40's during the day before starting to cool and 38F by 1700. Broken clouds to overcast conditions. Temperatures remained warm and above freezing last night.
Snowpack
Snow depth at the summit was 41" / 104 cms this morning with moist snow throughout. Foot penetration was 15cms. Farther down the final grade back toward Carbondale at approximately 8200' the snowpack was unsupportable with foot penetration to the ground and moist to wet throughout.
Avalanche
Several very small loose wet avalanches observed throughout the day filling the ditch from the steeper cliff faces, netting, and cut banks.
