Weather

Observation taken at 3:30PM at 12,000 feet on a north west face. Snowing moderately with low visibility. Light north winds. GPS coordinates approximately 39.7961, -105.7695. Location is just above treeline when ascending straight to Colorado Mines peak using the old ski runs.

Snowpack

Snow depth at 75cm. Hand hardness observations are as follows: Fist 75cm to 50cm Pencil 50cm to 35cm 4 Finger 35cm to ground CT7. Failed at 50cm. The top 25cm is the new snow that has fallen from Thursday 3/19 to Friday 3/20. This is starting to form a soft slab. It was delicate to pick up and started to fall apart as I moved it off the column block. Stayed mostly in tact. Large facets
