Drove with a 4x4 and chains to about 750m on the FSR then we put the skins on. Crusty and heavy snow up to about 1100m then much softer and drier to the top of the clearcut then nicely hard packed to the top. Amazing riding through the upper open trees, with very good coverage. Strange micro-climate that got us no rain or snow for the whole duration of the trip while around us it was raining/snowing. 3 other groups on the slopes so this one is becoming more popular...
