Avalanche
A spicy tour up from the RMAL to Powerline Yurts. Numerous large D2.5-D3 slab avalanches across the west face of R3- running far and to the ground. Beefy crowns in Primetime, Hollywood & 42 long/short zones. Hollywood ran full track w/ ample debris on apron. 42s also full track w/ a sizable crown, est. ~10+ feet & a 300ft wide debris field, entraining medium sized timber and running over and well below the Hudson road into meadows below. Significant downslope loading observed both BTL and NTL. Observed many isolated terrain features (N>NW) and road cuts (SW) w/ soft storm slab slides approx 30-50 cms deep. All this action appears to have happened early AM 2/15. HST ranged from 40 to 95cm in drifts. HST at PL yurts-(11,500ft) 55cm
