Weather

Last week we had over 20 inches of new snow. We were in a dry spell until today where we received 6" by 9AM at the top of Powderhorn. Snow is predicted for the rest of the weekend. Our snow this morning was %15 water content. Rain fell up to 7500 feet in the AM.

Snowpack

Dug a snow pit to ground at 190CM HS. Shear Shovel Test propogated a slab breaking 45CM down. Column Test Isolated a column a shovel wide. Column propogated at 145cm down at CTE2 or 2 taps from the wrist. Extended Column Test Isolated a column 3 shovel widths wide. Column propagated at 45CM down at 16ECTM or 6th tap from the elbow. The column propagated down to 45CM after 22ECTH or the 2nd tap from the shoulder. 0-15 CM 1 Finger in glove 15-60 CM Fist 60-165 CM 4 Finger in glove 165-190 CM Fist Snow temperature was -1 degree C at Ground rising to -2 degrees at 50CM-70CM. 80-130 recorded -3 degrees C. 140-160 recorded -4 degrees C. 170-180 recorded -3 degrees C and the surface temperature recorded -1 degree C
