Bluebird day in the San Juan's with calm winds and warming temperatures on sunny slopes. Once we dipped into the shade, air temperatures dropped significantly.

Avalanche

Most of the natural avalanche activity from our last storm cycle was on the smaller size and specific to steeper areas near treeline that face northeast. None of the slides observed propagated wide across a slope. Lots of small loose dry sluffing in the alpine from this morning sun.
