Weather
Despite several periods of heavy snow, snowfall decreased as the morning progressed. Skies cleared, but snow showers returned and lingered during the afternoon with daytime snowfall totals of 4-5". Temperatures were in the teens near the Divide. Light northwest winds produced some light wind transport. Three day storm totals from Snotel; 2.6" SWE at Wolf Creek Summit and 2.9" SWE at Upper San Juan
Snowpack
No signs of instability with ski testing on NE and E aspects near treeline. Some harmless sluffing was observed in the low density surface snow.
Avalanche
Observed avalanche activity was limited to isolated, harmless natural and triggered dry loose snow sluffing.
