Weather

Sunny with some puffy clouds and very warm. Very dark clouds to the south by 1300.

Snowpack

The push from our first big warmup of the season is palpable on virtually all aspects and elevations. Most areas experienced only a light freeze last night and today's warm temperatures quickly worked on the snowpack. Southeasterly slopes near and below treeline were saturated and punchy by noon (one could easily push a pole to the bottom of the snowpack with the basket on in these areas).

Avalanche

We saw a widespread shed cycle expand onto easterly slopes above treeline today, where small (D1) slides ran from steep rocky terrain.
