Weather

Beautiful day. Started cold but warmed up dramatically. Calm winds at the ridge tops no snow moving in the starting zones.

Snowpack

Near and below treeline the snowpack is mostly faceted to the ground. Open areas in the near treeline elevation band still have evidence of previous wind loading and steep easterly-facing rollovers still have a slab; however, these areas are easy to identify and we did not see any evidence of avalanche activity. In above treeline areas anything that has any westerly component is stripped to bare ground. Easterly-facing aspects are windloaded. We saw evidence of some old avalanches above treeline, but nothing recent.
