Snowpack
Widespread surface hoar below treeline often larger than three or four centimeters. The surface hoar is much smaller in dense trees and didn't exist or was less than 2mm large above 11,000 feet. The weak layer here is not very weak at all and is composed of relatively small, well-rounded, and well-bonded facets and is unreactive in snowpack tests.
Avalanche
Many large avalanches from the November 26-28 avalanche cycle on the North side of Treasure Mountain. There were also two notable avalanches above Lost Trail Creek that propagated very wide across small terrain features.
