Snowpack

Toured to 12,000 feet on Expectation Mountain. No recent sign of avalanche activity. Our easterly cornice drops debris from last week partially buried now by more recent snowfall. No whumpfing or collapses. Thick wind slabs from post storm transport encountered from the summit to below treeline. Skiing on boiler plate transitioned to breakable crust the further down we traveled. Majority of snow blown out of trees. Another marvelous day in the SJs. It was good to get out and up high.
