Snowpack
Poked around in a wind loaded area with 145-160cm snow depth. Found 15-25cm of new snow poorly bonded to old snow on buried facets. Stiff 4F to 1F slab below that on another Faceted crust at 110cm from ground. This was the layer where CT were showing activity (CTHRPx@), (ECTN24RP), (PST80/100(ARR)down60cm ) We found a 50cm P hard windslab midpack below buried facets Everywhere we looked the pack was sitting on 40cm of large basal facets We did experience multiple large rolling collapses while hiking across S and E aspect meadows and through aspens between 8800 and 9200ft. We also saw 4 small Natural slides on NE ridge of Baker on slopes of approx 35 deg.
