Weather

Overcast skies -> broken w some brief periods of scattered. One brief late-morning flurry. Winds gusty, swirling around ridges, increasing through the day.

Snowpack

Highly variable depths, but basal DH intact everywhere. Sunny slopes have soft, thick crust at surface; 2-3 mm Surface hoar on most shaded slopes but not upright. Winds moving it near treeline. Could be problematic sheltered slopes below ridges once buried w a slab.

Avalanche

Some D1.5 loose snow avalanches out of Steep rocky gullies on Carbonate Ridge. Several small Storm Snow avalanches in Marble bowl from this week, 2 reported previously.
