Avalanche

Triggered what could have been an avalanche if it was on a steeper slope. NE aspect, about 8500 ft, below treeline. Slope about 20 degrees. I was snowmobiling with my Dad and got stuck. He came to help me dig out, and rode about 5 feet away from where I was. I felt the snow give way beneath me and saw a small crack of about 3 feet long where our tracks intersected. Snow did not slide because it wasn't steep enough, but weak layer collapsed.
