Avalanche

We saw one avalanche, probably a day or so old, on a N facing slope near treeline at 11,400 ft in the "Hourglass Cliffs" area of the old Berthoud Pass ski resort. It seemed to be naturally triggered, as we did not see any tracks leading in or out of it. It was on a windloaded rollover, and appeared to break to the ground. The crown depth varied between 3-5 feet, and it ran about 150-200 ft.
