Weather

Temp: ~30 degrees (estimate). Wind: Moderate to intense from WNW. Sky: overcast. Precipitation: 3" fresh from Saturday night/Sunday morning, and S1 to S-1 while digging the pit, mixed with wind blown snow.

Snowpack

185 cm deep with mainly 4-finger to pen hardness/resistivity with the exception of four weak layers (fist). The weak layers were at 130 cm, 80 cm, 55 cm, and at the ground. Deep tap test yielded CTN and a shovel shear test resulted in resistant planar Q2 with extensive force. We found the findings to be consistent with the avalanche forecast for the rest of the front range.

Avalanche

No observed avalanches.
