Went skiing around here on Thursday & wanted to post as Haines Pass - outside our forecast zone - has been getting a lot more recreational traffic (& only from the Canadian side) than the MIN suggests. This week saw high winds on the summit but lower down and back from the highway, the skiing was very good. A deep snowpack and powder conditions. Signs of solar effect were visible Thursday with multiple small releases on southerly aspects and some cornices beginning to drop at lower elevations. Saw a moose.
