Went for a walk today with Jesse B up to 8812. Travel and up track is pretty rugged until above TL. 10-20cm on low density storm snow sits on top of a 10cm Rain Crust up to 2450m, our descent elevation. A Stormy and quiet day in the pass, and given the conditions I can see why.
