Following up on Cameron Brodrick's report, we skied Healy Pass on Tuesday. Weather was really warm, probably around 5-8° in the mid afternoon. In the pass the snowpack was roughly 40cm of base snow, 10cm ice crust, 60cm snow on top where I dug my pit. Just over 1m of snowpack. In the photos there is one where my shovel hit the ice crust, and two where I hit the dirt. I'm not professional so I won't tell you how bonded everything was, but I didn't hear any whumpfing or see cracks, but another party said they had seen a ~1.5 slide on a different aspect than we were on. Be safe. Overall a bit long of an approach to do multiple laps once you get there for our early season legs, but great hike in and stunning views of the sunshine valley.
