Excellent snow on N aspects. Ventured onto a S slope in the afternoon and found wet snow. felt a whumpf and some shooting cracks and reversed the skin track back to shaded slopes. A breakable crust is forming below 1700m due to the warm air temps

Strong solar radiation and warm air temps produced the most pin wheeling I've ever seen on S aspects. Temperature at the hut was 5 degrees on Thursday afternoon, and 2 degrees at 7am on Friday (1820m)
