Toured up to surprise pass. Snow quality varied from powder to crusty to wind slabs. Saw a good amount of sunshine throughout the day but no signs of natural avalanches. Final boot back to the top contained areas with a 6-8" wind slab. Nothing was triggered. Dropping in went from icy to powder to crusty snow.

Blue bird day with less solar warming than anticipated. At the top of the final boot pack we observed some light to moderate winds which seemed to be forming a small wind slab at the top of the final boot pack
