Entered our first open slope from the side. We noticed an increase in wind as we approached. As we entered steeper terrain the person setting the skin track triggered a size 1.5. Most of the avalanche occurred on unsupported boulders. It propagated approximately 50 across the slope and the fracture line also went uphill traveling from rock to rock. We suspect that there was surface hoar on a suncrust in this location. We had 40cm of snow in the 24 hours before this avalanche and it had been snowing during the day. No one was involved in the avalanche.
