Weather

Sunny skies in the morning, temps around 15 F. Wind sustained in the 20s, gusting to 40s out of the W, crossloading the top of the SW-facing chute. Clouds came in around 2pm and temps got into the mid-to-high 20s above 13,000ft.

Snowpack

Frozen wet slab debris at the bottom, transitioning to sun crust mid-path, to wind ripples on crust near the top.

Avalanche

At 3:15pm on 4/19/21 I triggered an SS-ASu-R2-D1-I on a SW-facing gully at 13,400ft.
