Dug a pit to find that persistent weak layer in the rockies. Got cth 5 down into basal/depth hoar/ facet near the the bottom of snowpack. Then ran a deep tap test 30cm on top of that layer got dtm 2 on the same layer. The top of the snowpack is super dense from that heavy load we had this winter. First 10-12 cm are 4f. then 1f. Then to pen. Till you get near the bottom of sp where 25-35 cm of loose facets grain are 1f. I expect to find to find that same pwl all over the east side of golden.
