Weather
Skys stayed mostly cloudy near the crest of the range with thin convective clouds and light snow. Rest of the zone looked mostly sunny. Moderate westerly winds at all elevations with blowing snow near ridge lines.
Snowpack
Sundays storm snow was about 20-30cm deep. Stability tests showed good bonding with the melt freeze crust below, at all elevations. Tilt test produced failures about 5-10cm above this crust on non persistent grains in the storm snow. In the AM the storm snow lacked enough cohesion or slab for propagation. In the PM the sun had come through the clouds enough to create a more cohesive slab and led to several skier triggered avalanches. The snowpack was still moist below the 4/13 interface on East aspects near and below treeline.
Avalanche
No natural activity of note. Several skier triggered storm slabs that failed within the storm snow and ran on the 4/13 interface. All D1's or relatively harmless, 10-40cm's deep. All activity was between 11,400-10,200ft.
