Snowpack

Snowpack is rounding and consolidating. Buried near-surface facet layers (4f) found down 40 and 81 cm. These layers are sandwiched between p-1F hard windslabs. Not reactive to compression tests, but isolated whumpfing noted with large trigger (group of +/- 10skiers) on S and N aspects just below treeline. Snow surface was a mix of hard windslabs, and large (3mm+) near-surface facets, and 5-7mm surface hoar.
