Temps in the upper 20s winds at Treeline gusting to roughly 35mph at 8:30am on a Westerly facing aspect at roughly 11,800' due East of the upper parking lot at Berthoud Pass.
Avalanche
Decent bit of natural activity on East facing aspects above treeline just below ridge-lines on the large cirques visible due West from the top of the pass. Mostly moderate sized loose dry avalanches, and likely some larger wind slabs also looked to have broken naturally ranging in size from R0.5 to roughly R2. In all I'd estimate that there were two slab avalanches and around half a dozen other noticeable sluffs. This could be slightly off, observation was made from a distance.
