Weather

Beautiful day in the mountains. Clear skies calm winds. Started to feel very warm around 2:00pm at low elevations as we descended.

Snowpack

Snowpack is relatively stable. We did find a layer of new NSFC that should be watched if a big load is added to the snowpack. There is no slab right now so there are no problems. There is a thick layer of small rounded grains mid pack. There is still a lot of depth hoar; however, it is moist and strengthening quickly.

Avalanche

Multiple Loose Wet avalanches in very steep rocky, southerly and easterly-facing terrain. It is an isolated problem and easy to avoid.
