Mostly Obscured skies with clearing to overcast late day at bear lake ridges still obscured. Winds were moderate with strong gusts from the W and shifting to NW until we departed @ 1545. Temps were very cold with air temp -14C. Very light to light snowfall throughout the day.
Snowpack
Here is a profile from today from the FlattopTrees. Many folks out skiing this area, saw 4 groups of 5 and few small ski groups. 1. no signs of rumbling or whumphing, no avalanches noted. only cracking was isolated to the surface. 2. Snpx is mostly faceted from top to bottom with CT(SC) scores below DH interface, SH spotted in 3 out of 4 pits dug today, about 10cm down from surf. We had a Dec15th layer that I have been tracking but seems mostly stubborn and un reactive to CT ECT PST tests most recently. approximately 3" past 24, HST 5"
