Snowing pretty hard, dense snow, lots of water content

N aspect - New snow appeared to be bonding poorly to old snow surface in the top of the chute. Ski cut produced 8" thick loose snow point release strong enough to break tree branches. S aspect - observed strange 8" thick slide through low angle aspens in a gully. Obvious dust layer from Thursday I believe, new snow failing on firm dust layer/sun crust.
