Snowpack

Stake readings at the Tower pillow read 22 to 24" yesterday. this is a bit more than the sonic HS because of above the pillow shearing on SE winds with the previous storm. Above about 11000 ft one can count on facets on northerly aspects and even on NW and easterly facing slopes. The Flat Tops have more snow than the northern Park Range and this area is especially vulnerable to heavy snow transport with strong winds blowing across long fetches. Snowmobilers love this area and come into it from Glenwood Springs.
