Weather

Up to 11,200ft on east aspect of Meadow Mountain. S-1 most of day, obscured most of day, but sun tried to poke thru a few times---bit of solar input. Calm to L winds from E/NE.

Snowpack

Approx 80cm--110cm HSt on the ground, well-bonded to old snow surface. Old surface still moist. Right-side-up spx below 10,700', but above 10,700 and in open meadows a bit of wind-effect made a slightly upside-down snowpack, with 10-20cm F-minus soft slab atop storm snow. Minor cracking as we skinned/skied, but no whumpfs or shooting cracks. Nearly epic snow on not-so-epic terrain, but fun nonetheless. Face shots on 28-33-degree pitches...but any lower angle and insta-wallow!
