Snowpack

Near treeline on N-NE aspects we found an average of 15cm of snow. The snow on the ground was faceted (1mm typical). Depending on the incident sun angle, melt freeze and ice layers were found at the ground, within the snow, and at the surface in various locations. On East aspects snowdepth averaged 10cm. No snow on the ground at the study plot (10,900', sort of SE facing)
