Weather

Cool, cloudy day, snow was still pretty dry as of 5 pm.

Snowpack

On sheltered (chutes, gully) northerly and easterly aspect we skied, light powder on top of crust, didn't react. But southerly wind slabs of 2-5 inches on top of peak were observed, slid in chunks on low angle (nothing larger than 2-feet square) but seemed to have minimal bond to crust below. Thought if overnight snow loaded on southern wind slabs, might be a concern. Noticed in passing, didn't investigate.
