Snowpack
Various layers of pencil to finger hard slabs between surface hoar and dust/debris layers. Bottom of the snowpack is advanced stage depth hoar up to 60cm deep. Weak layers were the 1-1.5cm surface hoar crystals that formed before the February 9-12 storm and a layer of dust and debris from the January 15 and 16 wind event, shears at these layer interfaces were clean Q2, almost Q1 but still showed slight resistance holding the slabs in place; and the basal dh, Q3 shears. CTP15 Q2 on the Feb. surface hoar layer, ECT did not yield any results besides the same layer weaknesses as the shear tests.
