Weather
Wx: Windy and warming temps throughout the day. Snow was being transported up northerlies and also into east slopes. In other words, the wind was from the north and west.
Snowpack
Sx: New snow of about 6 - 8" of fresh pow on northerly slopes on top of a firm and fast crust. This made for some high speed sloughing on the descent. Unprotected easterlies were crusting up by mid/late afternoon.
Avalanche
Ax: High speed sloughing running fast and far (200+ feet) on steep northerlies. On mellower terrain (35 degrees and under), the snow not sloughing. Slough did ski nice. No avalanches / cracking / whumpfing were observed all day.
