Clear skies. No clouds. Cold in the shade, warm in the sun.

Snowpack

Thin and variable. Snow depths were generally 12 inches from near treeline to above treeline. The snow on north aspects was faceted and loose. Wind slabs were hard to find. Only in a select few cross loaded gullies did I find wind slabs that were 3 feet deep. Snow facing west, was 12 inches deep as well, but could support a skier. These slopes held faceted snow grains with a higher density. Supportable melt freeze crust were found on WSW facing terrain. Any more south and the snow was nonexistent.
