Weather
Clear becoming scattered clouds in the pm. Very cold in the AM w/ rapid warming, but high only reaching -10°C. Calm w/ a few light NW gusts mid-day @11,000ft.
Snowpack
Average HS 120cm w/ up to 150cm in places. HST 4cm. 25cm including last weeks storm snow, which is now gaining cohesion. Ski pen 20cm. Snow surface- widespread near surface facets, wind texture in open areas and above TL. Surfaces stayed dry on SE up to mid-afternoon. Some areas of entirely faceted and weak spx, especially on steep north slopes and near big rocks. Evidence of significant wind transport from N and NW winds in the past 2 days, even below treeline. Cornices have gotten large above TL. Saw minor cracking in a wind loaded pocket.
