WEATHER: start of the trip -20 valley bottom slightly overcast. clouds increased during the day and temps warmed slightly. Damm it s cold out there right now!!

Snowpack

SNOWPACK: Only made it to the road cut but observed a number of different crust thickness depending on the aspect. 3inches plus of new snow from the last storm has had little effect on the overall stability of snow pack at this aspect and elevation. Crust on a weakening snowpack south through west.
