Snowpack

Clear with very calm winds, -7 at the trailhead warming to 30+ on Axtell summit. Skied southwest facing low angle glades with no signs of instabilities. Observed south aspects warming rapidly by mid-day. East aspects were heavily wind loaded. Skied north facing terrain ranging from 35-50 degrees. Observed roughly 14" of new snow with significant loose snow sluffing in steeper areas but no recent avalanche activity.
