Weather
Pretty nice day. Windy below treeline, but calm near and above treeline. There was a mix of sun and clouds for most of the afternoon. Temperatures were warm.
Snowpack
Above treeline the snowpack is relatively stable. There are a few small wind slabs but most are soft slabs and do not pose much danger. Near and below treeline in sheltered easterly facing areas a layer of surface hoar is buried about 30 centimeters deep. In many places the surface hoar is difficult to find without doing snowpack tests. No cracking or collapsing was noted and no avalanches were triggered on test slopes.
