Snowpack
Highly variable snow surface, typical of springtime conditions. Melt-freeze and sun crusts can be found on any sunny areas, and even in the flats on more northerly aspects. Shady aspects still had a wintry snowpack. This week's winds redistributed the snow from Monday's storm into hard drifts and slabs. Other areas had a wind crust, although there were still some isolated pockets of soft snow. Test slopes with wind slabs on them were largely unreactive. Some cracking, but nothing moving. The cornice is larger and more overhanging than it appears from below, and likely has grown since last week.
