Pass shrouded in cloud through the morning. Wind present from bottom of Pass to summit.

Snowpack

1/19 Weak layer is now buried 25-65cm deep in start zone of crest bowl. Reactive in snowpit tests, unreactive when cornice trimmed and snow sluffed into steeper terrain. A small amount of snow was entrained, however arrested quickly. Mfc was harder and thicker(P)-more pronounced as slope trended south. Noted several LD sluffs in new snow in Quarry View and Big Slide. A burst of sun triggered more as I drove down the pass.
