Partly cloudy with a light WNW wind. Seasonal temps. Very nice day.
Snowpack
The snowpack on Grand Mesa is adjusting to the new load from recent snows. Overall, the snowpack is consolidating and rounding. The new slab is not as strong and supportable as found in the Raggeds, but still gaining strength rapidly. Basal facets have been rounding and bonding over the past two weeks, and this trend is continuing. Snowpack tests supported a general stabilizing trend. ECT produced no results, and compression tests did not reveal any instabilities. PST end 43/100 at the interface with the basal facets was the only concerning result.
