Purple knob

Overall ski quality for purple knob was okay. It was quite sunny and warm by noon with a light wind. We noted one size 1 avalanche which looked to be a few days old while we were skinning toward the boot pack. The avalanche was from a south-east facing aspect and looked like it came from the top of the mountain. There were large cornices overhanging the boot pack. The top of the run was wind swept while lower down the snow was a bit better.
