Snow conditions were variable depending on exposure to wind. In sheltered areas, 10-15 cm of sugary snow rests on the late January crust. Above 1700 m, the crust was no where to be found. Large chunks of debris were still evident from a natural avalanche cycle during the rain event over a week ago. Riding quality was decent, and made for easy travel.
