North Rockies overview

Avalanche
on a recce flight we observed terrain from the Table river north to Pine Pass. There was some older activity on NE aspects from the previous pre-arctic outbreak, as well as some newer slabs on SW aspects. The latter are more recent most likely triggered by the winds of this last outflow push the end of last week. Significant localized windslabs have formed in deep terrain depressions on SW aspects. Knowing that a significant deep instability exists on multiple aspects is of concern. Route finding and terrain selection is key to avoiding avalanche prone areas
