Mt. Kostuik, Core Lodge area

Dug quick pit on NE side of Mt. Kostuik. Hs 130 to 155 cm. Very wind hammered; windward sides were bare. Windblown even in trees. 10 cm stale powder on top of a light crust. Another light crust at 40 cm down, then a 1 cm crust at 75. The 40 cm and 75 cm crusts were reactive in the hard range. Photo shows the three crusts. Snow between the crusts is pretty bonded and strong.
