Interesting early season snowpack. Lots of warmth near basal layer, with what seemed like sintering facets that perhaps first formed during some colder conditions. Cooling trend all weekend; rain crust, now hurried by 30+ cm was bonding well but could be one to watch in the future. The new snow was getting redistributed into soft slabs in lee alpine features. The photo is on Saturday just as it began snowing. ECT hard score of 26 on basal layer but not a clean fracture. No results from 6 runs we did.
